ERDF Bid-writing – Cornwall Enterprise Programme

The Cornwall Enterprise Programme was a joint ERDF bid between the Plymouth University and Cornwall College to drive a ‘new economic dynamism’ through harnessing the enterprise and entrepreneurship talent in the county. It aimed to provide higher level leadership, management and enterprise skills and knowledge to underpin the economic and social transformation of Cornwall, equipping business and individuals with the skills to compete effectively in today’s global economy, creating a unique network accelerating business growth and innovation in the region.

Emma worked with the partners to explore the different elements of delivery and refine the model for delivery. Once the project objectives and activities were understood the drafting team developed the strategic case, outputs and financial model to produce a coherent and successful business plan, securing over £2m of funding.  The programme was launched on Monday 14 November 2011 by Lord Digby Jones at Tregenna Castle, St Ives.

“We worked with Emma on an important strategic funding bid that was vital to the University. She played a crucial role in helping us develop the concept into a workable and fundable proposition, and in contributing to the drafting of the business plan. She became a trusted part of the project team, working alongside us in those crucial days leading up to submission and she provided real added value to us in ensuring a successful outcome.”
